Scheuermann's disease is a spine disease caused by an abnormal development of the cartilage plates and discs in the front part of the vertebrae (referred to as sherman's kyphosis). It may casue individuals to develop a “stooped over” posture.
In certain cases, specifically if the cause is related to postural kyphosis, Scheuermann's disease can be corrected through posture training and posture therapy. Remember, if you have been diagnosed with sherman's disease, always consult your physician before deciding on a posture training aid.
