Application Features

The key to efficient planning is eCity’s patented, continuous planning process. Constantly monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels at each of your facilities. Respond instantly to changes in demand (or supply) and open or adjust supply orders. Receive real time notices for exception conditions that require planner intervention.

The eCity Planner continuously compares supply and demand, and maintains an optimal schedule of planned supply order and planner notices. The planned orders are opened as required by supplier lead times or an open order time fence. Orders can be opened manually or automatically. The source of supply can be a release from a blanket purchase order (no buyer action required), a purchase requisition, an assembly work order or a warehouse transfer.

The eCity Resource Planning uses each product’s “bill of resources” to explode work orders into requirements for labor, machinery and other resources. A supply calendar (e.g. work schedule) defines available “units” for each resource. A graphical display projects availability for each type of resource. Shortages can be overcome by rescheduling work orders or resources.

A transportation modeling facility allows you to build truck loads and to view shipping capacity between points in your supply chain.
