Summary Information
Use online bidding to continually drive down costs. eCity allows you to quickly prepare a request for quotation and post it on your supplier portal. Each request lists the products and services you need along with required terms and conditions.
Use purchase and bid history inquiries to select a group of suppliers and e-mail invitations to bid. The invitation includes a temporary password the supplier can use to access the request and create a quotation.
Note: eTools allows you to define custom formats for each type of (e.g. RFP, RFI or RFQ). These formats can contain questions, require narratives etc. Weighting factors can be applied. There is no limit to the number of formats.
The supplier signs on to the portal and creates a Quotation. Price, delivery, terms and other information is collected. When the quote is complete a document is e-mailed to your buyer. Processing options determine whether or not the supplier is allowed to view its ranking versus other quotes.
The Quote Analysis form allows you to compare Quotes. Responses can be ordered by product and price. Delivery commitments and special notes also appear. Portions of a quote can be “awarded” to a contract or a blanket order.
