Brian McKeon, MD (Boston Sports & Shoulder Center, Chestnut Hill, Mass.).
Dr. McKeon is an orthopedic surgeon with Boston Sports & Shoulder Center, where he focuses on the treatment of sports-related injuries, particularly of the knee and ACLs. He serves as the chief medical officer and head team physician for the Boston Celtics and has performed surgery on many high-profile athletes. He performs surgery and is an owner of Boston Out-Patient Surgical Suites in Waltham, Mass. Dr. McKeon also serves as an assistant clinical professor of orthopedics at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Dr. McKeon participates in many clinical trials and funded research studies related to articular cartilage. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. Dr. McKeon is a member the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the International College of Repair Society.
