The FOT-02
Power Meter represents the economical solution for fiber-optic
LAN installation and maintenance. This power meter tests both
singlemode and multimode fibers quickly and accurately. Turn
it on, select a wavelength, and start testing. The user-friendly
FOT-02 is ruggedly built to withstand outside plant work conditions.

The
FOT-10A offers many of the advantages normally found in more
expensive units. It is microprocessor driven and features
linear amplification technology for long-term calibration.
Three models (see the table below) are available based on
the most popular wavelengths and power ranges.

In
a system that uses a laser transmitter, test experts need to
know the dynamic range of a laser source. With four models available
(see table below), the FLS-130A series includes the dual-wavelength,
single-port FLS-136A laser source, which reduces the number
of connection manipulations and accelerates testing operations.
Both the FOS-120A and FLS-130A share the following characteristics:
- Single- or dual-wavelength configuration
- 2 kHz signal generation for fiber identification
- Dual powering: 9 V battery and AC adapter/charger
- Auto-off function
- Rigid carrying case and shockproof holster with strap

basic OLTS is the recommended tool for low-volume testing. The
very economical FOT-30A is quite popular among LAN installers
and contractors. It features the WaveWise system that automatically
sets the power meter to the source wavelength to reduce errors
and increase efficiency.

For
use in testing applications, Fico offers a series of pulse
suppressors. The pulse suppressor is packed in a rugged,
lightweight plastic box that is small enough to fit inside
the carrying compartments of most OTDRs. The pulse suppressor
is available with your choice of input and output connectors
installed on 3 meter pigtails. Standard lengths are
500 meters for singlemode and 100 meters for multimode.

Inc. offers bare fiber adapters that are designed for quick
and secure fiber connection. They are particularly useful
for temporary connections to instruments during off-site operations
and fabrication processes. These adapters are suitable
for both singlemode and multimode fibers with 250um or 900um
buffered fiber. Compatible fiber types are 125um and
140um. Insertion loss is <1dB.
