Baggy Edge Removal System

* the "near side SLIMB journal moves in a "north/south" direction to correct for the baggy edge.

* the "far side" SLIMB journal moves in an "east/west" direction simultaneously, compensating for the steering effect generated by the "north/south" journal motion.

* both journal motions are linear and a neutral location can be located.

 

Eliminates wrinkles. Produces a tight web across the entire width of material.
Maintains normal web tracking. Fully automatic systems available.


Web Guide and Steering

Compact SLIMB bearings can be easily built into a machine . . . no bulky hardware, countershafts, etc.
Motor/pneumatic.hydraulic actuated. Roll moves in a single plane.


Compensating Rolls


Input to one side only. Roll parallelism assured. Full or half page compensators possible by coupling two SLIMB bearing systems. Exceptional stiffness.


Pneumatic/Hydraulic Actuated Systems


SLIMB bearings maintain roll parallelism. Cylinder force required on one journey only. Bearings and roll easy to assemble. Roll loading easily calibrated.


Pinch or Metering Rolls

Rolls always remain parallel . . . Total adjustment from one side.
Roll adjustment finger-tip easy.
