Medical Lab Assistant

Get infoMedical Laboratory Assistants (MLAs), sometimes known as clinical support workers, help scientists and medical staff to diagnose and treat patients. They work throughout the health service industry on wards, and in clinics and laboratories.

Medical lab assistants are a necessary part of the patient diagnosis process. They are constantly analyzing body tissue and fluid samples taken from patients at hospitals, clinics or physicians' offices. Most medical laboratory assistants work under the direction of lab technologists and scientists.
