H6 Head Mounted Optics
There are a variety of eye tracking options available to researchers depending on their specific applications. Head mounted systems are designed to accurately track pupil diameter and eye position relative to the person’s head. A head mounted solution is an excellent choice when participants will be viewing multiple surfaces or when the ability to move within a restricted area is required. A head mounted camera is optimally located near the eye to improve resolution, magnification of pupil and flexibility in adjusting for corrective lenses.
Important Features To Consider when Selecting an H6 Optics Solution Include:
ASL’s lightweight head mounted optics -12 ounces or 339 grams- can be comfortably worn for long studies with participants 4 years and older.
H6 optics are configured with a state of the art optics module and camera that tracks at 60 Hz.
ASL’s eye camera optics are housed on a lightweight, easy to adjust headband that allows the participant to gaze freely in their environment with unrestricted freedom of head movement.
The monocle (“hot mirror”) is attached to an adjustable head band with a flexible boom arm. This allows you to adjust the monocle to reduce spectacle reflections and decrease challenges with corrective lenses.
Unlike rigid stock attachments, the ASL flexible boom arm allows you the ability to position the mirror to various angles. The eye image and scene image are constantly displayed on two color 7 inch LCD monitors for your feedback and video collection.
The ASL system can collect the scene image with either a head mounted color scene camera or with a scan converter if stimulus is presented on monitor. With EYEHEAD integration (see detailed brochure) you can also collect the scene image from a remote scene camera.
