ASL’s Latest Innovation, A Desktop Eye-Tracking System
Designed To Create A Natural Workstation Environment
“D6 Now Available: The Latest Eye Camera Optics In
ASL’s EYE-TRAC Family of Innovative Solutions”

Bedford, Massachusetts, USA Applied Science Laboratories (ASL) is proud to announce the release of the D6, a robust desktop remote eye tracking solution. This is the latest addition to ASL’s EYE-TRAC family of eye camera optics that are all compatible with one unique control unit.

The D6 eye camera optics facilitate researchers’ ability to quickly and accurately track gaze position on all participants (infant to seniors) while viewing one flat screen such as a computer or video monitor. The optics, cameras and mirrors are housed in a sleek, unobtrusive unit that fits directly under the stimulus display.  Participants sit down and feel like they are in a normal, real-world environment. The D6 utilizes face recognition software that identifies facial features to accurately account for head position eliminating the need for other additional and often very visible head tracking devices that cannot be used in some environments.

In making the announcement, Neil Westerman, Sales Support Representative of ASL said, “We are being constantly challenged by the research community that we serve as well as by our competitors to bring solutions that are not only capable of collecting accurate eye tracking data, but are also flexible and make economic sense. Researchers become frustrated and the utilization of eye tracking technology stalled when they are faced with having to buy completely new systems when applications or study parameters change. Our entire team at ASL is proud to have had the foresight to avoid bundling its technology to another vendor’s component that could become obsolete such as a PC or monitor that would force our valued customers to purchase a completely new system.”

Applied Science Laboratories has been a pioneer in the examination of human eye movements and pupil dynamics for over 30 years. ASL was the first company to develop a head-mounted eye tracker, eye/head integration, parallax-free optics, and many other features that have become industry standard. For more information, visit www.a-s-l.com or contact the company at 175 Middlesex Turnpike, Bedford, Massachusetts, 01730 USA, Tel.
