Tomato Processing

maximizing the potential of processing tomatoesAdmix will assist you in maximizing the potential of processing tomatoes for the manufacturing of paste, the dilution and cutting of paste for standardization, and the remanufacturing of paste for the enhancement of ketchup, tomato sauce, tomato soups, salsa and many other tomato based products.

Our technical knowledge, field experience and innovative products will provide the following benefits for your tomato processing needs:

  • Thicker, more viscous paste with improved Bostwick and increased yield

  • Consistent standardized paste through either batch or inline blending'

  • Ultra rich ketchup with no syneresis (with lower paste content!)

  • Thick or thin tomato or pizza sauce

  • Smooth Soups

  • Superior chunky or milled salsas

QUESTION SOLUTION
How can we increase yield utilizing a coarse paste to produce a premium finished paste of lower mesh size?

Admix offers it’s Boston Shearmill for in-line continuous processing of paste. For example, easily reduce an 0.060" paste to a 0.030" paste or below.

How can we increase yields on our ketchup production with improved Bostwick, less syneresis, better texture and higher shine?

Admix offers it’s Boston Shearmill for in-line continuous processing to improve finish & consistency of all remanufactured products by milling at the correct shear rates to produce the highest quality, lowest Bostwick products at a level that most processors have never achieved and at lower paste concentrations.

How do we prevent clogged nozzles on our sauce delivery systems?

By creating a smoother, highly milled sauce, you can eliminate clogging of nozzles on sauce delivery systems. Admix offers it’s Boston Shearmill for in-line continuous processing to provide tight emulsions. Typical particle size range can be as low as 200 microns often with just a single pass at high production rates. Designed to run 24 hours a day / 7 days a week!

Boston Shearmill Meets 3-A TPV Standards #36-01

How can we increase yield through our finishers?

Admix offers it’s Boston Shearmill which can be installed just prior to the finisher to reduce juice particle size to allow maximum utilization of the valuable parts of the tomato.

How do we increase yields, quality and efficiency when remanufacturing paste into ketchup, soups, pizza sauce, tomato sauce, tomato or vegetable juice?

Admix offers it’s Boston Shearmill or Boston Shearpump® for in-line continuous processing or our Rotosolver® high shear mixer for batch processing to improve finish & consistency of all remanufactured products by applying the correct shear rates to maximize viscosity and release of the natural pectins within the tomato.

How do we create a properly mixed sauce with no agglomerates of paste or spices to eliminate smears of concentrated spice?

Admix offers it’s Rotosolver® high shear disperser to achieve homgeneous consistency in less than 2 minutes. For flexibility when using mobile tubs, ask about our wall mounted and mobile lift stands.

  • Meets 3-A TPV Standards #73-01
How do we manufacture salsa on a continuous basis?

Admix recommends the Boston Shearmill® with rotors and stator designed especially for salsa for inline continuous processing to provide consistent particulate sizes without damage.

How can I decrease pomace and increase yield?

The Boston Shearmill can be used to rework pomace and reduce the particle size. The reworked pomace can now be injected into the juice stream after the break and increase yield through the finishers, increase the quality of the paste by releasing more lycopene, pectin, and vitamins.
