We're seeking a senior individual with a strong background in the Networking/Telecom industry and at least 8 years of experience to establish and manage the systems integration and test organization. Qualified candidates should have experience developing and performing system level functional test strategies and processes for complex networking boards and high-speed systems. In addition, candidates will provide input to designs for manufacturability and testability that will result in improvement in quality, productivity, test efficiency, and cost reductions. Requires technical expertise in Data/Voice/Video Communications systems, hands on experience with commercial test and measurement equipment, and knowledge of Design-for-Testability (DFT) and Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: specifying, developing and/or procuring test equipment, leading the defect reduction teams to improve test processes and test coverage, responding to test problems by working with affected suppliers and design engineering, and supporting contract manufacturers with any test issues that arise. This position interacts with a skilled team of hardware, software and test engineers as well as marketing and product managers to span the product development cycle. Effective communication skills, flexibility, a strong teamwork approach, and the desire to work in a fast-paced start up environment are necessary for success. BSEE/CS or equivalent experience is required. MSEE preferred.
We're seeking a senior individual to drive the overall corporate quality effort with major focus placed on final product quality and customer satisfaction. Qualified candidates should have 5 at least five years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Manufacturing Engineering capacity with a technology-based company supporting NPI and outsource manufacturing of medium volume, high complexity HW and SW products. A successful track record of achieving and maintaining ISO900X certification is critical. In addition, candidates will ensure that DFQ principles are fully incorporated into product design and production processes. This position requires utilization of TQM and SPC principles, and development and implementation methods for measuring, controlling, improving and reporting the product quality status at various locations throughout the manufacturing process, both in-house and at the Contract Manufacturer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: working with customer support, developing a way to monitor and enhance the customer experience when dealing with Vivace products, making regular reports on the status of the Product/Process quality and customer satisfaction, and expand the Quality Assurance department as company growth and activity warrants. Experience with Telecom/Datacom networking equipment and exposure to AGILE, JDEdwards and/or Clarify tools is a plus. This position interacts with a skilled team of hardware, software and test engineers as well as assembly technicians and senior management to span the product development cycle. Effective communication skills, flexibility, a strong teamwork approach, and the desire to work in a fast-paced start up environment are necessary for success. BS degree in Statistics, Mathematics or other technical discipline desired and/or equivalent experience is required. MS preferred.
We're seeking a senior individual with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience to support Vivace's high-end switching systems through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Qualified candidates should have manufacturing engineering experience in a technology-based company (preferably Networking / Telecom industry) supporting NPI and outsourcing experience of medium volume, high complexity and high-speed HW & SW systems. In addition, candidates will create and maintain the overall product structure to ensure ease of procurement, assembly, test and custom configurations to meet customer needs.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing, implementing and controlling manufacturing assembly procedures; ensuring Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) and Design-for-Testability (DFT) principles are fully incorporated into the product design; ensuring product documentation packages are complete and properly released through Document Control; loading item master and BoM structure into the Product Data Manager (PDM) tool; logging engineering change orders (ECO); issuing part numbers; organizing product and part history files; providing first line technical support for any and all process issues arising on the in-house production floor, and finally, providing second line support for those issues arising at the subcontractor manufacturing facility.
Requires knowledge of ECO/ECN change systems and experience with various part numbering schemes and PDM/MRP systems. Experience with AGILE highly preferred. This position serves as a direct interface to a skilled team of hardware, software and test development engineers as well as product designers and assembly technicians. Interface with outside subcontractors and suppliers is also required. Effective communication skills, flexibility, a strong teamwork approach, and the desire to work in a fast-paced start up environment are necessary for success. BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience required. MS preferred.
