InfiniBand™ Test Suite
Lamprey Networks, in conjunction with the InfiniBand™ Trade Association (IBTA), has developed a comprehensive Test Suite to test InfiniBand™ devices. This Test Suite is designed to provide Integrators' List (IL) Certification from the IBTA. [For more information, visit our IB Test Program page.]
Based on device type and 'additional capabilities', separate lists have been developed.
Compliance Tests for Switches and xCAs [HCA and TCA]
Master Test Lists - There are two separate Master Lists of tests to separate the 'Core' tests and 'Additional Capabilities' tests.
- Master Test List of 'Core Capabilities' - This list identifies all tests developed for 'Core' compliance with the InfiniBand™ Specification. This is a composite list and includes tests for both Switches and xCAs (HCAs and TCAs).
- Master Test List of 'Additional Capabilities' - This list identifies tests developed for 'Additional Capabilities' identified in the InfiniBand™ Specification. This also is a composite list and includes tests for both Switches and xCAs (HCAs and TCAs). 'Additional Capabilities' include:
- Subnet Management and Subnet Administration - These xCA tests are included for devices that have SM/SA functionality
- Two Generator Tests - There are a few Switch tests that require the use of two Agilent Test Generators to complete.
- Device Test Application (DTA) - In order to create a test based on commands initiated by the tested device, an application was created and installed on the tested device. This list of tests can be used to evaluate devices with a DTA
Capability Specific Lists - The Master Lists have been divided according to the device type and 'Additional Capabilities' to aid in test identification. These lists are provided below.
- Core Test Lists - The Master List of 'Core Capabilities' is divided between tests required for Switches and those required for xCAs (HCAs and TCAs). There is overlap with these two lists because many of the tests are used for both device types.
- 'Additional Capabilities' Tests - The Master List of "Additional Capabilities' is divided into groups of specific capabilities
Compliance Tests for Cables
In conjunction with Physical Layer testing vendors, LNI provides this list of Core Cable Tests for InfiniBand™ Specification compliance.
