PARAGONT The Paragon is a multi-capability ESD and Latch-up test system for testing advanced integrated circuits. The Paragon system allows users to test devices from 256 pins up to 1024 pins. With such a broad pin count range, users are given the opportunity to test both simple and complex components, such as system-on-chip devices, using one test system. The Paragon delivers consistent, precise ESD waveforms and the centrally located DUT board reduces the inherent inductance and capacitance on each pin to a minimum, which is essential for quality ESD performance. In addition, high-speed vectoring and fast clock speeds provide for rapid device preconditioning and functional verification necessary for testing dynamic devices. Each Paragon is user-configurable to meet a company's specific ESD and latch-up test requirements. The base Paragon system features 256 pins and can be increased at the customer's site in 128 pin increments for up to a total of 1024 pins. In addition, high-speed vectoring capabilities, test features and pulse sources can also be added on site. By providing on-site upgrade capabilities, users can decrease their total down time. Paragon's Windows95â -based application software is a user-friendly interface for device definition, vector maps and test plan generation. The Paragon performs ESD and latch-up testing to a variety of standards and range of voltages.
