Batter Systems
To insure quality product while promoting good manufacturing and sanitary practices,
it is essential to precisely control both batter viscosity and batter temperature. To accomplish this, Wilevco manufactures batter SYSTEMS. A typical Wilevco Batter System consists of a Mixer to mix and control batter viscosity, a Cryolator for precise temperature control, and a Reserve Tank for filtration and distribution.

Each of the products displayed below are manufactured and sold individually. Wilevco offers a full range of products to meetyour specific needs.

Liquid Process Chilling
The Wilevco Cryolator® was originally designed to chill batter during production. For several years, we have also employed this equipment in several alternate applications such as, chilling sauces, slurries and gravies.

Mobile Refrigeration
For any of the above applications, you may consider using the Wilevco Mobile Refrigeration Unit. This unit offers a cost effective alternative when there is insufficient or unavailable in-plant refrigeration.

The WILEVCO SERIES 610 automatic batter mixer was introduced to meet batter production requirements of smaller-volume production lines. This mixer will mix and control volumes of batter up to 800(363 kg/hr) pounds per hour.

The WILEVCO SERIES 770 automatic batter mixer was designed to meet the demanding needs of high-volume production lines. This mixer will mix and control volumes of batter of up to 14,000 (6350 kg/hr) pounds per hour.

The WILEVCO 4.5 X 6 CRYOLATOR is a vertical swept-surface heat exchanger that was developed to chill batter. Subsequently, other applications have been discovered, such as chilling sauces, slurries, or gravies. By maintaining consistent temperatures, product quality is maintained while adhering to company HAACP standards.


The WILEVCO 4.5 X 8 CRYOLATOR , with one and a half times the chilling surface of the 4.5 X 6, was developed to handle high-volume production and/or high ambient temperature conditions.


The WILEVCO RESERVE TANK is a batter distribution and filtration unit.

The WILEVCO MOBILE REFRIGERATION UNIT couples a Wilevco Cryolator with a stand-alone, water-cooled refrigeration unit. This unit allows location flexibility in a simple, effective alternative to plant refrigeration.
