and automotive markets.

Our major product lines include:
bonding adhesives and sealants for the attachment of single-ply rubber and
TPO (thermoplastic olefin) roofing membrane,
water and solvent based coatings designed as fast setting, non-yellowing
bowling alley finishes,
water based and co-solvent free plasticizer barrier coatings for recycled
and virgin vinyl self-stick floor tiles,
solvent cast breathable bandage membrane,
dry film and water based adhesives for vinyl membrane pressing of kitchen
cabinet doors,
moisture curing and conventional high strength adhesives for structural aluminum
building panel assembly, and
high performance rubber based pressure sensitive adhesives for vinyl, wood,
and aluminum window glazing tapes.
When a manufacturer presents a new requirement, we research
the marketplace to determine economic guidelines so that we may assemble the best
product for the customer at the right price. The Specialty Adhesives and Coatings
Group then conducts development in a capable, innovative, and persistent fashion.

Capable-our development group has the technical skills, honed over many
years, needed to complete a project in the shortest possible time,
Innovative-using novel technical approaches, we search for unique solutions
to adhesive, sealant, and coating problems, and
Persistent-at a customer’s request, we fine-tune the product or
process if initial results are lacking in some respect.
Examples of recent developments include:
a water based barrier coating for extruded vinyl with a ten-fold decrease
in plasticizer migration,
a clear UV curable coating for rubber with improved specific adhesion values
and excellent foot traffic resistance,
a low temperature melting hot melt adhesive for vinyl, rubber, and polyurethane
foam that moisture cures overnight in ambient humidity,
a clear, non-yellowing, outdoor sealant for TPO (thermoplastic olefin) and
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) roofing membrane, and
a one component, water based heat seal adhesive for vinyl membrane pressing
which exhibits the heat resistance of two component adhesives.
