The Sampson’s Rib Group began in 2003 when Worthen Industries bought
and merged Odell-Williams and Prime Manufacturing.
We just introduced a flexible rib that enables manufacturers to produce ribbed
insoles with greater flexibility in the ball and shank areas.
Together
we have produced insole rib since 1935 and lead in the production and supply of
insole rib and rib attaching machinery to manufacturers of welted shoes and boots
worldwide. Welt construction, found primarily in premium men’s shoes and
boots, produces tough, long lasting footwear.
The Sampson’s Rib Group offers a wide variety of rib
styles ranging from the standard width of 1.0 inch to a width of 1.25 inches.
We provide rib with filler gages ranging from 2.0 to 3.5 iron and heights of 7/32
or 9/32 of an inch. All rib styles can be pinked and nipped. As needed, we work
with our clients to develop specialty rib products with varying strength, flexibility,
and in different budget ranges.
The
Sampson’s Rib Group just introduced a flexible rib that enables manufacturers
to produce ribbed insoles with greater flexibility in the ball and shank areas.
We anticipate this exciting development will result in the availability of durable
welt constructed sports shoes, dress shoes, and work boots offering greater comfort.
In addition to insole rib, we provide rib-attaching machines
of both the Sampson and Prime designs. To serve our customers around the world,
we service the equipment in the field through our agents in Asia, Central America,
Australia, South Africa, and the US. We maintain a complete inventory of parts
and provide warehousing in Asia and Central America.
