  • Double-sided multi-layer flexible circuit on a single substrate eliminates the need for a multi-layer rigid board
  • SMT components assembled to the circuit including LED's, transistors, and resistors
  • 40 inter-digitated switches on the top layer of the circuit
  • Interconnect accomplished by bending the tail area back 180 degrees to connect to the telephone control board at the base of the telephone (this eliminates a flat flex cable and connector assembly on the end product)
Consumer answering machine membrane / flexible circuit:
  • Multi-layer, single-sided circuit - PTF membrane switch construction
  • LCD assembled to the circuit using anisotropic conductive adhesive, eliminating tape interconnect
  • LCD mounted on a flap and oriented in a three-dimensional plane from the remainder of the flexible circuit in the end product
  • LCD driver (SOIC) assembled onto the flexible circuit
  • EMI / RFI shield in the display driver and circuit area

  • Available separately from the switch layer in reel or fanfold format for automated assembly to the RF board of a cellular phone
