How to use our services

How to view catalog:

To view our selection of books, go to Books on the menu bar. The pull down menu enables you to choose:

* Catalog provides a list of all available books and videos with brief descriptions.

* Search by Title, Author provides two pull down menus. Titles (listed alphabetically by the first word in the title) and Authors (listed alphabetically by last name).

How to find a certain book:

Using the Search capability on the site, enter the name of the author or the title of the book. If you are unsure of the title, enter as much of it as you know. If you are still unable to find it or want to know if it is something we will have available in the future, send an email to stan@disabilitiesbooks.com.

How to order online:

Ordering online from DisABILITIESBOOKS is straightforward and safe.

To select a product from our catalog, please click on the “Add to Cart” button. This will add the selected item to your shopping cart and to the order form. After adding each item to your cart, you will have the opportunity to change the desired quantity or to view your entire cart. You may then “continue shopping” or check out.

1. When you have finished shopping, click “check out” and complete your order by providing ALL of the requested. Note: If you are paying by credit card, you must give us your BILL TO information exactly as it is on your credit card statements.

If your order is successful, you will receive an order acknowledgement including order details via email directly from DisABILITIESBOOKS. If you have chosen to pay by credit card or PayPal you will receive an additional acknowledgement of successful payment via email.

Your order will be processed as soon as we receive it. Your goods will typically be sent within one business day. Delivery time will vary depending on your location. Please allow two weeks since books are shipped via U. S. Post Office’s media mail.

How to Order via Mail

You may submit orders via traditional mail. Add items to your cart as indicated above. Choose an appropriate payment type and complete your order.

When you receive your order acknowledgement, print a copy and send it with your payment to:

Payment may be made by money order, personal checks (if drawn on a U. S. bank), by bank check or by credit card.

If you choose “credit card” it will be necessary to call us with your credit card information. Call (617) 879-0397and be prepared to give us the order number, found on the top of your order form, and your credit card information including card number, expiration date, and validation number (found on the back of your card). All payments must be in U. S. Dollars.

Security

All credit card orders are processed by Verisign Payment Services, a major supplier of secure internet commerce services. Using the best security technology available, all transactions are coded so that they are unintelligible to any unauthorized person.

Privacy

DisABILITIESBOOKS maintains the privacy of your account. No information about you or your purchases will ever be sold or shared with other companies without your explicit permission.

Return Policy

DisABILITIESBOOKS accepts returns of any purchase within 30 days of the date of purchase. We will return the full purchase price, including charges for shipping and handling.

To return an item, you need a Return Authorization Number. To get a Return Authorization Number send an e-mail to stan@disabilitiesbooks.com and include the following information

* Your name
* Your home (delivery) address
* Your e-mail address
* Your daytime telephone number
* Order number (receipt number)
* Name of product you wish to return
* Reason for the return (please be specific)

We will send you a Return Authorization Number. Write this number on a printed copy of your e-mail and include it with the product you are returning. Also, please place the Return Authorization Number on the outside of the package. Send the package to:

Shipping: Domestic and International Orders

Products will be shipped as soon after receipt of order as possible. In most cases, this will be within 48 hours. When products are out of stock, you will be notified accordingly. In some cases, shipments to the same address may be broken up into multiple packages.

DisABILITIESBOOKS books are shipped via U.S. Postal Service. It may take up to 14 days to receive your order within the United States.

Customs fees are sometimes required for international deliveries depending on local law. These are separate from any charges made by DisabilitiesBooks. We have no control over these charges, and are unable predict what they will be. The package's recipient is responsible for paying any duties, taxes or customs fees. DisabilitiesBooks will attach a statement to your package indicating the value of the package's contents, as required by the shipping company and local taxation authorities.
