If you have a problem using any of the facilities on our
site, please look through this brief list of Frequently Asked
Questions. If you are still unable to do what you would like
to do, please send an email to stan@disabilitiesbooks.com.
Using our services
1. I could not complete the order form. It kept rejecting
my credit card. Why?
a) Try entering your credit card number with NO SPACES
or punctuation marks of any kind between the groups of numbers.
b) Please enter the Bill To address exactly as it appears
on the monthly statement from your credit card company.
c) If this still does not work, please try another credit
card.
If you are still experiencing difficulty, please send
an email to stan@disabitiesbooks.com and include your telephone
number and the most convenient time to call you.
2. I got two separate receipts for my order. Does
this mean I’m going to get two items or be charged twice?
No. Absolutely not. The first receipt is our acknowledgement
of your order. The second is the acknowledgement from the
credit card company that your card was accepted for payment.
3. I did not get what I had ordered. What can I do
about it?
We try not to make mistakes, but sometimes do. Please send
an email to stan@disabilitiesbooks.com with your name, phone
number, an exact description of the problem (i.e. what you
ordered and what you got), and your order number. We will
send you a return authorization and will send you the correct
book.
4. We came to your site through a link on another
site. But after we ordered a book from your site, we wanted
to continue browsing here. Unfortunately, we were sent back
to the site we had left. Why?
This is done as a courtesy for our nonprofit partners. Our
ordering system is set up to return shoppers to the place
from whence they came. If you would like to come to our site
directly, please enter our URL http://www.disabilitiesbooks.com.
5. I live in Massachusetts and was charged sales
tax for a book I bought. But when I bought a book for shipment
to my cousin who is out of state, I did not pay tax. Why?
We are a Massachusetts business and are required to pay
sales tax on any goods shipped to in-state customers. When
we ship out of state, we are not required to charge the state
sales taxes.
Other questions
1. I entered a URL other than DisabiltiesBooks.com
and came to your site. What is going on?
We have several URLs that all lead to the same site to make
it easy for visitors to find us and to tell others about
us.
2. Do you operate any stores where I can find the
same products?
No. Some of the books we offer are sold through bookstores or catalog booksellers but we have no affiliation with them. We only sell “online.”
3. I wish you carried additional products that I’ve
read about in the press. How can I tell you about these?
There are two ways. First, when you buy one of our existing
products, you can answer
the question at the end of the ordering process as to what other products you
would like to see us sell. Second, you can send an email with your suggestions
to
stan@disabilitiesbooks.com.
