SBCA and Satellite Training Institute Team Up to Offer Certification Classes

Washington, D.C., May 28, 2008 -- The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) today announced that it has partnered with Satellite Training Institute in Houston, TX to incorporate SBCA’s National Standards and Testing Program (NSTP) certification course into STI’s curriculum.

Satellite Training Institute curriculum covers all aspects of satellite training for both video and internet. The course will teach satellite antenna installation based on SBCA standards and testing in order to provide result-oriented training programs for individuals seeking entry-level positions within the telecommunications industry.

“SBCA is pleased to have STI as a partner offering the satellite industry’s certification program,” said Steven Hill, SBCA Vice President of Business Development. “SBCA is working with its members to develop partnerships with regional technical colleges throughout the country as they provide a great avenue for our members to hire qualified technicians.”
