Washington, D.C., April 17, 2008 -- The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) today announced that Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ: CLWR), a leading provider of wireless high-speed Internet service, has joined the SBCA as a broadband provider. This membership allows Clearwire and the SBCA to develop a specific Commercial Retailer Program to provide association members and their customers with Clearwire’s Internet services.

“SBCA is pleased to welcome Clearwire as our latest broadband provider,” said Steve Hill, SBCA vice president of training and business development. “We look forward to working with Clearwire to create a program targeting commercial retailers and installation firms who wish to offer the Clearwire wireless Internet service to their customers or use it in support of their field service network.”

The distribution opportunities that Clearwire will create for the SBCA’s members will leverage Clearwire’s efforts in building one of the world’s most capable wireless networks to deliver a true broadband experience to people rather than places. SBCA members and their customers will have access to Clearwire’s wireless broadband service, which covers entire communities across the country and delivers a high-speed Internet, voice services, and fully mobile broadband services, for the home or office. Clearwire will help the SBCA members expand their revenue opportunities by providing a suite of wireless broadband Internet services to complement their existing DBS offerings for both new and existing customers.

“Clearwire is very pleased with the partnership with the SBCA and the opportunity to offer the portability, simplicity and speed that Clearwire’s portfolio of products and services can provide to SBCA members,” said Jim Ryder, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Clearwire. “This partnership will create exciting new connectivity options for small- to medium-sized businesses and consumers alike. The complementary nature of satellite television and high-speed wireless Internet services makes for great synergy between our organizations.”
