SBCA Announces the Launch of OTARD On-Line Form Washington, D.C., June 1, 2006 -- The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) today announced the launch of its new initiative to help installers and viewers protect their right to install satellite dishes and antennas. “Even ten years after the Federal Communications Commission first published the OTARD rule, homeowner associations, cities, counties and other governing bodies are still creating rules that are in direct conflict with federal regulations,” said Noah Cuttler, State Regulatory Affairs Liaison with the SBCA. “This webpage will act as a clearinghouse for problems faced by satellite installers and viewers and help SBCA better protect their right to install satellite dishes and antennas.” The on-line form can be accessed at: http://host.web-print-design.com/SBCA/otard/default.htm. Installers and viewers are encouraged to logon and submit their issue. The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association is the national trade organization representing all segments of the satellite industry.
