SBCA Launches “The Retailer Connection"
E-Newsletter Aimed at Retailer Members and Grassroots Efforts

Alexandria, Va., Aug. 3, 2004 – The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) today launched the first issue of its new e-newsletter designed for retail members, “The Retailer Connection.” The newsletter will be sent to SBCA’s retail members six times a year via email and focus on the connection between SBCA and the retail community.

“SBCA is pleased to offer this new membership benefit to our retail members,” said Richard DalBello, president SBCA. “As the local face of our national industry, retailers are a critical link to the success of the DBS industry. ‘The Retailer Connection’ is designed to help retail business owners strengthen their connection to our industry as a whole.”

“The Retailer Connection” aims to inform retail members on SBCA events, education happenings, state and Federal legislative issues, as well as a host of other topics directly impacting SBCA’s retail members. The newsletter will also serve as a portal to information

SBCA currently has over 500 retail members. With a membership to SBCA retailers not only become a part of the national consumer satellite industry community, but they also have the opportunity to get involved in grassroots government relations actions headed by the association, as well as access to educational programs offered by the SBCA’s National Standards and Testing Program (NSTP). NSTP is the benchmark in satellite installation and technology education in the industry and has trained and tested more than 30,000 satellite technicians since its inception in 2001.
SBCA also has two websites targeted toward retailers: www.satelliteretailers.com and www.sbcatest.com.
