TV GUIDE PRESIDENT PETER C. BOYLAN, III TO BE FEATURED SPEAKER AT SkyFORUM SATELLITE SYMPOSIUM MARCH 28 IN NEW YORK

ALEXANDRIA, VA, February 29, 2000 -- The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) and SkyTRENDS LLC today announced that Peter C. Boylan, III, President and COO of TV Guide, Inc., will be the featured speaker at the 13th semi-annual SkyFORUM satellite/ financial symposium, to be held Tuesday, March 28 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Mr. Boylan will deliver his speech at 9:30 a.m. (ET).

"Peter Boylan is a 21st Century leader in the television industry," noted SBCA President Chuck Hewitt. "Having been directly responsible for helping grow United Video from less than $300MM market cap to its current $15 billion market cap, Mr. Boylan can offer satellite analysts, professionals and media an up-to-the minute assessment of the future of interactive and internet services in the satellite and cable industries from a Wall Street perspective. Mr. Boylan was serving as President and COO of United Video Satellite Group, Inc., when his company acquired TV Guide Magazine from Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation in March 1999. He was promoted to his present position three months later. Mr. Boylan will become a member of the Office of the CEO and Co-President of TV Guide International when they complete their pending merger with Gemstar in the second quarter of this year. Mr. Boylan will also be Chairman & CEO of TV Guide Interactive, TVG, On-Line, and will be a director of the merged company.

Mr. Boylan joined United Video Satellite Group in 1994 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he served with Hallmark Cards, Inc., at their headquarters in Kansas City in the corporate development and strategy group. While at Hallmark, Mr. Boylan managed cable television, entertainment, programming and other communication investments. Mr. Boylan serves as a member of boards including BOK Financial Corp., iSky, SSDS, St. Francis Health Systems, and Tulsa United Way. -more-

In 1998 and 1999, CableFax magazine named him one of the industry's top 100 influential people. Mr. Boylan is an alumnus of Southern Methodist University with a degree in Finance.

The semi-annual SkyFORUM satellite/ financial symposium will be held Tuesday, March 28 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. The program runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and includes one-on-one interviews with satellite industry executives: Eddy Hartenstein, Corporate Senior Executive Vice President, Hughes Consumer Sector; Mark Pagon, President, Chairman and CEO, Pegasus Communications Corp.; and Tom Moore, CEO, iSky.
