LIBERTY MEDIA’S DOB BENNETT TO KEYNOTE SkyFORUM SATELLITE SYMPOSIUM APRIL 6 IN NEW YORK CITY

– Liberty’s CEO Will Open Day of Satellite/ Financial CEO Interviews and Panels–

ALEXANDRIA, VA, February 16, 1999 - The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) and SkyTRENDS today announced that Robert Bennett, president and CEO of Liberty Media Corporation, will keynote the 11th semi-annual SkyFORUM satellite/ financial symposium, to be held Tuesday, April 6 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Mr. Bennett will deliver his keynote speech during the symposium’s opening session at 9:30 a.m.

"Dob Bennett, who has been instrumental in assembling one of the largest portfolios of television programming businesses in the world under Liberty Media, can offer satellite analysts, professionals and media a truly unique perspective on the satellite broadcasting industry," noted SBCA President Chuck Hewitt. "We are pleased to welcome him to our event."

Mr. Bennett has been with Liberty Media since its inception in 1990, serving as its chief financial officer and in various other officer capacities. He became president and CEO in 1997. Mr. Bennett is a director of Black Entertainment Television, Inc., United Video Satellite Group, Inc., TCI Music, Inc., Discovery Communications, Inc., and USANi, LLC, as well as all of Liberty’s significant operating subsidiaries, including wholly-owned Encore Media Group, LLC.

The semi-annual SkyFORUM satellite/ financial symposium will be held Tuesday, April 6 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. The program runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and includes one-on-one interviews with satellite industry executives: EchoStar Communications Corp. Chairman and CEO Charlie Ergen, DirecTV President Eddy Hartenstein, U.S. Satellite Broadcasting President and CEO Stan E. Hubbard, and Iridium, LLC Vice Chairman and CEO Edward Staiano, along with panel discussions focusing on home satellite distribution, programming, and finance.
