ELC is pleased to offer a variety of Executive English Programs for business professionals with at least an intermediate level of English. The courses developed for executives reflect the business world our students inhabit: quality conscious, results-driven, highly efficient and extremely flexible. Classes have a maximum of five students and are professionally conducted by native speakers of American English. ELC executive program instructors have ESL training and experience in the business world. Course topics may include: business practices, cross-cultural issues, marketing and product development, finance, management and human resources, and issues and trends in American and international business. Instructors may also make use of video cameras to record and critique student progress in simulated business meetings, discussions, and presentations. Role-play, site visits, case study analysis, business writing, pertinent business readings, and oral communication are often used to provide a complete executive English experience.

This two-week group program is offered at ELC Boston only. Our Intensive Executive English Program provides 35 lessons per week to business professionals with at least an intermediate level of English. Students enrolled in this program meet for classes during sections A, B, C, and D (please refer to the Sample Executive Course Schedule). Intensive Executive English is offered once every four weeks. However, for a 25% surcharge students may choose to begin the course on any Monday.

This two-week group program is offered at ELC Boston only. Students enrolled in the 20-lesson per week Semi-Intensive Executive English Program study in small group classes every morning during sections A and B. This program is perfect for the busy executive who wants to participate in a professional English course and still have time to conduct business or do a little sightseeing in Boston, one of America’s most beautiful and historic cities. This program is open to business professionals at the intermediate or advanced level of English.

Offered at all four ELC centers, this individual, one-to-one, 35-lesson per week course may begin on any Monday and is addressed to the individual student's specific business, professional or academic needs. It is available for students at all levels, including those just beginning the study of English.

All students enrolling in an individual executive program are asked to complete a self appraisal prior to the start of the course in order to asses their executive English needs.

Individual Executive English Program Highlights:

Open to all students interested in business English, even beginners
35-lesson per week schedule focuses exclusively on your personal language needs and goals
Begin the program 52 weeks per year

This course, offered at all four ELC centers, consists of 20 lessons per week of general English (see the Semi-Intensive English Program under General Courses) and 15 lessons per week of individual executive instruction. This program is available to all students at all levels, including those who are just beginning the study of English.

Combination Executive English Program Highlights:

This program, offered only at ELC Boston, combines 20 lessons per week of group executive English instruction (see the Semi-Intensive Executive English Program) with 15 lessons per week of individual instruction. With 15 start dates per year this program can fit into the schedule of any busy executive who needs to get the most out of his or her time studying in Boston. This program is open to business professionals at the intermediate or advanced level of English.
