OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR PRIVACY

At Cambridgeport Bank, we have always recognized that having your trust is an honor, and we have an obligation to protect that trust. We understand your desire for privacy. That is why the safekeeping of your information is a priority for the management and employees of Cambridgeport Bank.

We often use customer information to provide you with better, more efficient service. Sharing information internally or with our business partners enables us to better understand our customers' financial needs, allowing us to provide the best possible products and services. Sharing information about our customers is also necessary to deliver everyday conveniences, such as ATM access and enhanced customer service.

HOW WE GATHER INFORMATION

Once you agree to establish an account relationship with us, or apply for credit, we collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications and other forms
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

The collection of this information, often necessary to properly evaluate, maintain, and service your account, may occur at various times while you have an account relationship with us.

WHAT INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law, or otherwise described in this disclosure. Some examples are detailed below.

To assist us in offering you services, we may occasionally share information with companies that work for us, such as check printing and data processing companies. We may disclose the information we collect, as disclosed above in the "How We Gather Information" section, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. These companies might, for example, assist us in offering you certain products and services or help us mail account statements to you. These companies act on our behalf and are obligated to keep the information that we provide to them confidential.

We may also share information about you within our corporate family of financial services companies such as our insurance agent. Cambridgeport Bank and its corporate family may share with each other transaction and experience information from our own account records.

By sharing this information, Cambridgeport Bank can better understand your financial needs. We can then send you notification of new products and special promotional offers that you might not otherwise be aware of.

OUR FORMER CUSTOMERS

As a former customer of Cambridgeport Bank, our Privacy Policy will continue to apply to you.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

Keeping your financial information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle your information with care. Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. We may also access information about you when considering a request from you for additional services or when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. Our employees are trained to understand and comply with these information principles.

PRIVACY IS A PARTNERSHIP

You too can take steps to secure your personal information by following these tips:

  • Never give out your Social Security number or personal credit information over the telephone unless you initiate the call
  • Review your credit reports annually, and report mistakes
  • Tear up or shred receipts, bank statements, and unused credit card offers
  • Keep track of your mail. If a statement, check, or bill is missing, someone may have changed your billing address.
  • Do not mail bills from your own mailbox, drop them in a post box or at the post office
  • Make sure you do business with reputable companies, especially on the Internet
  • Keep your browser's padlock or key icon active when doing business online
  • Protect your PINs and passwords, and change them often. Use a combination of letters and numbers
  • Report any suspected fraud to us immediately and notify the fraud divisions of the three major credit reporting agencies: Trans Union (800) 916-8800, Experian (888) 397-3742 and Equifax (800) 525-6285

Please do not hesitate to contact us at (800) 401-2626 if you have any questions or concerns about the protection of your personal financial information.
