Co-Op R&D Laboratory Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting research scientists and laboratory personnel in conducting experiments and developing materials.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform tests and experiments in line with company safety and occupational health procedures.
- Record results of experiments in notebook or on computer, and prepare reports.
- Prepare samples of completed tests, identify and label same for storage in R&D storeroom.
- Maintain lab equipment in clean and safe working condition.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be a student working toward a degree in chemistry or in an engineering discipline.
- Computer skills in an MS Windows environment, familiarity with spreadsheets and project management software required.
- Familiarity with mathematics, experimental methods and statistical principles required.
