Co-Op Manufacturing Engineering

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting with process improvements and trouble shooting, as well as with sustaining process issues within specific manufacturing areas, including Print, Die Cut and Assembly.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Perform process studies that will involve taking and analyzing data and providing data analysis to determine a course of action.
  • Collect and analyze yield and rate information. Provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and guidelines for manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with repair and maintenance of equipment and processes.
  • Work with operators to identify and troubleshoot problems.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Must be a student working toward a BS in industrial, manufacturing, electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Computer skills in an MS Windows environment, familiarity with spreadsheets and project management software required.
  • Familiarity with or exposure to DOE, FMEA, SPC and lean manufacturing techniques preferred.
