Events

We are incredibly excited to be a part of Downtown Lowell at this time during her renaissance.  Lowell’s rich history is being honored by an explosion of growth and cultural development.  This means many organizations are collaborating to create venues for education, entertainment, personal growth, and wonder.  We encourage you visit some the organizations making a difference in this community.

www.revolvingmuseum.org - The Revolving Museum is an evolving laboratory of creative expression for people of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities who seek to experience the transformative power of art. Through public art, exhibitions, and educational programs we promote artistic exploration and appreciation; encourage community participation and growth; and provide opportunities for empowerment and social change.
www.cultureiscool.org - The Cultural Organization of Lowell (COOL) was developed in 2001, as the city's arts advocacy organization, designed to provide general support to the many cultural activities of the community. With so many cultural activities happening on a daily basis, it had become absolutely essential to create a central organization for the coordination of these events. Our goals are ambitious and bold, but we believe that through arts and culture, we can bring our community closer together.
www.nps.gov/lowe/ -Welcome to Lowell National Historical Park -The early story of America's Industrial Revolution is commemorated at Lowell National Historical Park in the midst of this lively city. The Park offers visitors an in-depth look into the past that brought the 19th century textile industry to tap the waterpower of the Merrimack River while also revealing cultural connections to the present and visions for the future.
www.merrimackrep.org - One of only three League of Resident Theatres (LORT) in Eastern Massachusetts, Merrimack Repertory Theatre presents an exciting mix of contemporary and new plays in historic downtown Lowell, bringing more than 6500 people into the city each month from September through May. With its popular Young Artists at Play summer program, as well as educational and community outreach efforts, MRT serves Lowell and the Greater Merrimack Valley as the area's only fully-professional theatre.
www.lowellauditorium.com - The Lowell Memorial Auditorium plays a starring role in the region's cultural and entertainment scene. Bill Cosby, The Irish Tenors, Tom Jones, Melissa Etheridge, Bruce Springsteen and internationally acclaimed musicals, such as Cats and Fosse, have played to sold-out audiences here. It is also the site where boxing greats Rocky Marciano and Marvelous Marvin Hagler won their first Golden Gloves championships.
www.paultsongasarena.com - Opened and dedicated on January 27th, 1998, the arena proudly bears the name of the late Senator Paul E. Tsongas, a Lowell native. We are one of Massachusetts newest venues providing quality entertainment for all ages. The arena is home to the Lowell Devils, of the American Hockey League and the NCAA Division I UMass-Lowell River Hawks hockey team.
