Mike Mazzola
CEO

Mike is the Chief Executive Officer of Lamprey Networks Inc.   As CEO, Mike is responsible for overall direction and operations of LNI.  He brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience across large and entrepreneurial companies within several industries including Telecommunications, Information Technology and Defense Electronics.  His broad technical experience and background as a successful integrator position LNI to drive innovation as a leader in the Healthcare IT industry.

Prior to joining LNI, Mike was North American Head of R&D Services for Nokia Siemens Networks, a telecommunications joint venture between Nokia and Siemens; Vice President of Operations for Siemens Network Convergence, an entrepreneurial subsidiary of Siemens Communications responsible for next generation voice networks; and Vice President of Programs for SierraCom, a start-up in cellular backhaul.  Mike also held several senior level positions within Lockheed Sanders, Raytheon and M/A Com.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, as well as a master’s in business administration from Rivier University.

 

Barry Reinhold
President & CTO

Barry is the President and Chief Technology Officer of Lamprey Networks. He founded LNI in 1999 and has over 20 years of leadership experience developing internet technologies.

Barry has worked on compliance and verification issues in a number of settings, founding the InterOperability Lab (IOL) at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), and leading the protocol design of an SiSCI to Fibre Channel translation chip for Trebia before launching LNI. Additionally, he has developed test suites for many communications and storage protocols including IEEE 11073, iWARP (RFC 5044, RFC5040, and RFC 5041), Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FDDI, IEEE 802.5, HomePlug, PCI-ASI, PCI-E, as well as protocols within the IEEE 802.x family

 

Prasan Kaikini
Director of Engineering

Prasan is the Director of Engineering for Lamprey Networks Inc.  At LNI he is responsible for engineering execution and quality.  He brings over 25 years experience as a senior engineering manager and software developer in start-ups as well as large multi-national companies. 

Prasan started his career with AT&T developing voice switching and Signaling System 7 technology.  From there, Prasan held a progression of increasing roles at other high technology Internet companies such as Cabletron, Bay Networks, Unisphere Networks, Nokia Siemens Networks, and Aspect Software.  He was one of the key early managers at Castle Networks, a startup that was then sold for over $150 M to Unisphere Networks and subsequently to Siemens.  He holds many patents and inventions for voice and data switch signaling, network management, policy management and software processes. 

Prasan holds a BTech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.
