About Us

Established in 1958 Howland Development Company has grown from a small home improvement business into a substantial developer of residential, retail, industrial, warehouse and office space. We have developed, leased and managed more than 3 million square feet of space throughout New England.

Howland Development Company constructs buildings designed to meet the needs for a variety of clients. Typically our project consist of industrial space north of Boston near Rt. 128 and are implemented in increments of 25,000 to 200,000 or more square feet. Most of the buildings provide 22' or more of clearance height to allow the most efficient and varied use of the space. This clearance allows space for stacking palettes and manufacturing. In addition we offer substantial loading areas and 10%-20% office areas or more in these developments. We also provide house sales, distribution and support services. In addition to our Industrial, Warehouse and Office space, Howland Development Company has experience in Building Homes, Research & Development, Multi Story Office and Retail Buildings.

Howland Development is expertly proficient in marketing and leasing properties. This is due to our commitment to do more than just lease space. We spend much of our time locating and researching commercial real estate needs, developing the necessary facilities and matching them with the appropriate clients. We work very hard to understand the needs of potential clients before and during development.
