EGS Gauging’s latest system, System 21?, brings together the best of EGS Gauging’s CIMline?, LFE’s PROFITMASTER?, and Kineron systems to provide a powerful, yet user-friendly, arsenal of on-line product measurement and control capabilities unmatched in the industry. System 21 is based on a network-distributed architecture with Windows NT? and Wonderware?, the number one selling user-customizable process control software product in the world.

The new Mark III Industrial Scanner from EGS Gauging is the company’s latest high performance scanning platform engineered to provide cross machine scanning measurement for System 21 and CIMLine on-line Beta and FSIR sensors.

The Mark III Industrial Scanner is designed especially for demanding applications where maximum durability, cleanliness, and performance are required. An all-new “unibody” design incorporates a 3/8” thick heavy tubular steel structure that provides high stability while isolating internal scanner components from the environment. The enclosed unibody design protects the scanning hardware and electronics from the environment as it also eliminates the potential for contaminates to drop from the scanner onto the web. The unique design of the MARK III makes it an ideal solution for demanding applications where the hardware is subjected to dust, high temperature, moisture and fiber.

Dependable Thompson bearings and rails provide the Mark III with smooth, precise action and simplified maintenance. The sensor drive employs steel reinforced timing belts for durability and precision. The innovative design of the Mark III Industrial Scanner combines precision, reliability and maintainability to ensure the absolute maximum life cycle performance.

A powerful distributed scanner processor is incorporated within the Mark III scanner frame to provide local processing for all data acquisition and scanning functions. An ethernet network connects the scanning frame and sensor(s) with the Operator’s NT Workstation and other 3rd party devices for instantaneous exchange of product/process data, and control.
