Lamps are the heart of the UV system, MERCURY LAMPS are typically used with shallow or transparent coatings that need short energetic wavelengths for curing. Though energetic, these shorter wavelengths are not useful when a deep, penetrating cure is required. Peak emissions for mercury include 254, 315, 365 and 436 nm.

GALLIUM provides the ultimate in long wavelength, and the deep penetrating cure needed with very think pigmented materials. Peak emissions for gallium occur in the 400 to 450 nm range, with especially high peaks in the 400 to 420 nm area.
