There are no monthly service charges on this account, however, as with most CDs, there is a penalty for early withdrawal of the principal. Should interest rates rise during the 6 or 12 month term of this account, you have a one-time opportunity to take advantage of the higher rate and step-up your CD rate. This flexible investment product can be opened with as little as $10,000 and is FDIC insured. It provides the security of an FDIC insured investment combined with the flexibility to make additional deposits during the term.
