We
first opened our doors in Brookline, Massachusetts, in 1920 with the name
of Coolidge Corner Cooperative Bank and with the fundamental philosophy
of cultivating long term relationships with our customers while providing
products and services that satisfy their financial needs. Since that first
day, we've grown considerably, both in size and in our product offerings,
yet our commitment to quality customer service remains the cornerstone
of our bank. Continuous growth of the bank was responsible for establishing
branch offices in Dedham and Norwood. In February, 1997, Bay State Bank
merged with Union Federal Savings Bank and added additional branches in
Westwood and Boston. Today, Bay State Bank is a $344 million dollar institution
operating five full service branch offices in the Greater Boston area.
At Bay State Bank,
we take pride in meeting our customers' needs with competitive financial
products, neighborly personal service, flexibility, and a focus on detail.
This commitment to service and to our customers has led to the development
of a complete line of personal and business banking products, as well
as a complete line of 24-Hour convenience banking services. Our accounts
and services, designed with our customers in mind, offer diverse solutions
for attaining financial goals. Our lending programs are created specifically
to meet the needs of our local markets. Included in these programs are
fixed and adjustable rate mortgages, first time homebuyer financing, and
equity lines of credit, all with flexible underwriting standards.
In an industry where
impersonal, unresponsive service is all too often the norm, Bay Sate Bank
stands apart from other banks. As a community oriented bank, we recognize
that customer satisfaction depends not only on our products and services,
but also on the ability of our staff to do their jobs with professional
skill and personal confidence. Our customers get to know our service representatives
on a one-to-one basis. This builds working relationships that last!
