HAMMER TECHNOLOGIES
ANNOUNCES MAJOR NEW FEATURES, PRICE REDUCTIONS TO LEADING CALL GENERATING
SYSTEM
Wilmington,
Mass. - June 3, 1997 - Hammer Technologies today announced significant
upgrades to their leading Hammer ISG call generation system. The ISG, which
stands for Integrated Stress Generator, now provides users with the ability
to mix physical telephony interfaces and signaling types in a single system.
Prices have been reduced up to 25% from previous ISG models, making it
the most cost effective call generation system available. All Hammer ISG
systems are 100% compatible with the Hammer IT (Integrated Telephony) test
system, the standard for testing computer telephony, enhanced services
and call center applications.
According to
Hammer vice president of R&D, David Hartig "Traditional bulk call generators
have been known for their difficulty of use, poor programming environments,
inflexibility, and inability to mix signaling types - forcing users to
buy a new, incompatible system for each interface. Our repackaged ISG breaks
from tradition in all these areas. Following our open-systems approach
to developing test systems, we have truly produced a call generation systems
that meets modern telephony load testing requirements without the traditional
limitations."
The ISG provides
the same graphical interface, patented test development tools, and Visual
Basic-compatible test language as the Hammer IT system, but is designed
to meet the needs of testers who need to cost effectively generate intelligent
telephony load on
many ports simultaneously.
Hammer ISGs may operate as stand-alone systems or work in conjunction with
other Hammer IT or Hammer ISG systems for complete high-volume load and
feature testing.
"The ISG's unique
ability to mix and match telephony interfaces and signaling provides the
ability to both test applications more completely as well as more cost
effectively. A single system may be configured with T-1, or E-1 (ISDN and
CAS), Analog, and SS7 capabilities allowing it to emulate both network
and line side traffic simultaneously" said Hammer senior product manager
Art Michaud. "The ISG even supports the option to speak unlimited vocabulary
voice, making it perfect for load-testing speech recognition systems."
Hammer ISG systems
include a full high-performance Windows NT-equipped telephony chassis and
start at under $12,000 for analog and under $16,000 for T-1 systems. Options
include an ODBC compatible database, prompt playback and record. Additional
telephony and signaling interfaces may be added at any time.
