HAMMER TECHNOLOGIES
INCREASES CAPACITY, ADDS MAJOR FEATURES TO LEADING COMPUTER TELEPHONY TEST
SYSTEM
Wilmington,
Mass. - June 3, 1997 - Hammer Technologies today announced several key
enhancements for their Hammer IT. These enhancements add capacity, reduce
cost and provide new features such as facsimile support, improving the
Hammer IT's ability to test emerging computer telephony, enhanced services
and call center applications.
According to
Hammer General Manager, Steve Gladstone "These new capabilities significantly
improve the Hammer IT's price performance for many applications while adding
to its ability to completely test emerging computer telephony applications
and systems. Many enhanced services and unified messaging applications
now include voice, fax and data communications. With these enhancements,
the Hammer takes another step forward in providing a complete solution
for automating both load and feature testing of all these applications."
Sr. Product
Manager Art Michaud added, "The Hammer IT can now support as many as 60
simultaneous ports of fax transmission making it perfect for load, feature,
regression or in-service testing. HammerFAX requires no new hardware and
is a field upgrade to any Hammer IT system."
A major cost
reduction comes in the form of a new entry-level prompt recognition option.
"Our ability to understand prompts coming from computer telephony systems
has proven
to be one of
our most popular options. Without this ability it is impossible to determine
whether or not systems are operating correctly," added Michaud. "Our new
prompt recognition option is extremely cost effective for systems that
need small amounts of recognition. And, this option is software-based,
meaning it needs no dedicated hardware. Now virtually every Hammer IT system
can take advantage of this unique capability."
Additional features
make the Hammer even easier to use, providing users the ability to create
their own programming buttons to store commonly used functions.
"The industry
has been clamoring for a single, consistent, easy-to-use, high-capacity
open-systems computer telephony test solution" said Hammer's Gladstone.
"With these features, we can now provide a system that can emulate virtually
every user type, network connection or network device. The Hammer is truly
a test system without traditional limitations."
