HAMMER TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES GENERAL AVAILABILITY OF THE FIRST VoIP TEST SUITE SAN JOSE, CA - March 30, 1998 - Hammer Technologies announces today the general availability of its industry-leading VoIP Test Suite. Developed to simplify the testing of IP telephony equipment and end-to-end network connections, the VoIP Test Suite runs on the Hammer ITä , the Standard for Computer Telephony Testing. The Test Suite represents the reality of Hammer's unique vision of a comprehensive testing system specifically designed for the requirements of the VON/VoIP environment. Consisting of a set of pre-created tests and testing capabilities, the VoIP Test Suite helps automate all critical areas of VoIP testing. Voice quality, DTMF integrity, call completion rate and behavior under load are easily tested, with no need for complex programming. Included are a special set of pre-recorded, ITU P.800 compliant, speech samples allowing repeatable and quantifiable audio quality evaluations. The Hammer IT platform provides multiple, mixable interfaces ¾ T1, analog, ISDN and LAN ¾ allowing duplication of the real-world environment in which VoIP systems must operate.
