HAMMER TECHNOLOGIES
INTRODUCES INDUSTRY'S FIRST DS3 CALL GENERATOR
March 6,
2000 - Wilmington, Mass. - Hammer Technologies today announced the
availability of the Hammer DS3 test system, Hammer's next generation call
generator. Designed specifically for the requirements of high-density VON
systems and other high-speed T3 applications, the Hammer DS3 provides users
with a complete solution for their T3 testing needs.
The Hammer DS3
offers the industry's first fully integrated DS3 test system capable of
simultaneously sending and receiving up to 672 channels on each of the
system's dual DS3 interfaces. The Hammer DS3's innovative Master Controller
User Interface allows users to control, monitor, and generate reports for
all 1,344 channels from a single console. With the click of a mouse, the
Master Controller UI can also launch pre-defined tests that generate complex
real-world traffic patterns, minimizing time to test and maximizing test
coverage.
Gordon Eddy,
Hammer's Voice Products Marketing Manager stated, "According to a recent
report by IDC, a leading industry analyst, the principal challenge for
VoIP gateway vendors going forward is developing carrier-class products,
where high port density, reliability and first to market are the essential
keys for success. To address these challenges, we have developed the Hammer
DS3 system. The Hammer DS3 system provides our customers the ability to
stress test their high density products to quickly and easily test real
word calling scenarios using the new Master Controller User Interface and
-More- the new Call Profiler (traffic pattern generator). The Hammer's
DS3's innovative Call Profiler allows users to apply pre-defined calling
patterns that simulate different real world calling scenarios. These patterns
are defined as: Saw Tooth Pattern ¾ simulates a busy calling hour,
such as a customer support line that usually receives most of its calls
between 9:00am and 11:00am. The Blast Pattern¾ provides both device
and system level stress testing. The Ramp Pattern ¾ used for system
longevity testing. (Please refer to the datasheet located on our website
for more detailed information on these patterns).
In addition
to the innovative Call Profiler, users who would like to create their own
customized tests can use the TestBuilder User Interface. With the TestBuilder
interface, tests can be creating quickly and intuitively, without programming,
using the industry standard call flow ladder diagram and pre-coded telephony
action objects.
The Hammer DS3
is available now. Please contact Hammer directly for detailed pricing information.
