Manufacturing
Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Manage outsource
systems integration & testing of moderate volume, high technical
complexity industrial PC system.
- Resolve changing/conflicting
HW & SW configurations.
- Manage materials
specification, inventory, ordering, price, EOL replacements, MRP
BOMs, forecasting.
- Develop/review
shop floor assembly & testing process & documentation towards
9001 certification.
- Identify
areas for improved quality & repeatability across entire operation.
- Constant
attention to quality through continuous attention to process,
documentation, training, customer satisfaction.
- Participate
in new product requirements planning & implementation process
to ensure quality, manufacturability, timely new documentation
& training development, synchronization of material lead times
with product launch.
- Prime vendor
component cost manager. Identify & manage to optimize pricing
and availability.
- High degree
of hands on technical literacy in PCs, Windows NT, UNIX, Voice
& Data Communications. Knowledge of Natural MicroSystems, Dialogic
or Brooktrout PCBs very beneficial.
- Key member
of Operations team. Contribute vision & experience to all Ops
dept. issues & planning.
Requirements:
- Manage out-sourced
integration & test PC chassis & voice/data comm test application.
100+ chassis/month.
- Material
specification, forecasting & inventory, vendor management. MRP,
BOMs, costing, reporting, new product inclusion.
- Coordinate
new product introduction into production, identifying new process
& test documentation & schedule.
- Knowledge
of PC technology & manufacturing process.
- Passport
& ability to travel (5-10%)
- BSCS or equivalent
degree.
