AcuTest
NI™ is the ideal solution when a software-based
test automation tool loaded directly onto the system
under test (SUT) is outside the scope of feasible or
allowable test environment configurations.
Ideally
suited when the system under test's platform is a non-Windows
based operating system or a non-IBM compatible PC, AcuTest
NI is a powerful and completely non-intrusive software
test automation solution that combines external hardware
connected to the system under test with the AcuTest
application running on a second "control station"
PC. All features of the AcuTest application are available
on the control station PC.
The
external hardware transmits the display screen from
the system under test to the control station PC where
it is re-displayed as a full screen image. Using this
remote display, AcuTest executes the test script, sending
keyboard and mouse actions to the system under test
via the external hardware appliance. This "off
shore" approach allows AcuTest to "drive"
the target application without actually being directly
installed on the platform of the system under test.
The
appliance supplied with AcuTest NI can interface with
up to eight systems under test, each of which is driven
by a dedicated control station PC equipped with the
AcuTest application.
