Mutual Federal Savings Savings Bank is an independent, mutually-owned savings bank serving the community's personal banking needs, with full-service offices in Whitman, Hanson, Halifax, and Carver. The Bank has operated continuously as an independent, local institution since 1889.

We define our purpose as that of a provider of core financial services to individuals, with a special focus on meeting the needs and interests of the members of the communities in our immediate service area: Whitman, Hanson, Halifax, Carver, and surrounding towns. As such, we exist to provide a locally-based, mutual alternative with a strong emphasis on pursuing business policies and practices to benefit the local community.

These policies and practices include providing a safe depository for depositors' funds, at a fair rate of return; pursuing a responsive and responsible lending program; and offering a broad range of related services designed to enhance the quality of life of those who use them.
