Labsphere
is one of the few U.S. suppliers of specular standards for the
calibration of spectrophotometers used for measuring highly
specular materials. The specular standards are UV enhanced (magnesium
fluoride overcoating) and cover the spectral range from the
UV to the NIR. The standards are available in 1 and 2-inch diameter
or square (1 x 1 and 2 x 2 inch) sizes.
A hardcopy
printout of the spectral calibration data (50 nm resolution)
is supplied with each standard; higher resolution spectral calibration
data (5 nm resolution) are available on disk as either ASCII
files or in Excel format. Calibrations are performed at 8° incidence
using an integrating sphere. Calibrations at other incidence
angles are available, per customer request. Specular standards
are traceable to standards at the National Institute of Standards
and Technology (NIST), and the National Research Council Canada.
