A port
adapter is a black anodized aluminum cylinder that mounts onto
a port frame (PF-XXX). It serves as a structure for mounting customer
accessories and has two thumb screws oriented at a relative angle
of 90º for securing accessories. A port adapter will also mount
onto a port frame equipped with a port frame reducer.
A light
trap is a cylindrical cavity with an interior structure that is
designed to absorb the incident radiation that enters through
its open end. The cavity is coated with an optical black coating
that exhibits an absorptance of greater than 97% over the wavelength
range from 250 to 2500nm. Labsphere offers two light trap designs
for use with integrating spheres. They both achieve higher absorbtance
than the optical black coating alone because their cavity designs
have been optimized to geometrically trap more of the incident
radiation. An LTRP-XXX-C light trap mounts on a port frame (PF-XXX).
The conical interior of the cavity is designed to maximize the
absorbtance of the light trap. Absorptance exceeds 99% from 250
to 2500 nm. An LTRP-100-M light trap is designed for use with
the sample holder accessory. It inserts into the cup of the sample
holder to trap the transmitted component when measuring reflectance
of translucent samples. It may also be used to eliminate the non-scattered
component of a transmittance sample. Absorbtance exceeds 98.5%
from 250 to 2500 nm.
A laser
target is a conical shaped port plug that mounts onto a port frame
(PF-XXX) to reduce the power density of the first strike laser
beam.
A 2
inch diameter hemispherical liquid-cooled laser target is a port
plug that mounts onto a port frame (PF-XXX) to reduce the power
density of the first strike laser beam.
A sample holder
mounts onto a 1 inch port frame (PF- 100) or port frame reducer
(PFR-100) and is designed to hold reflectance and transmittance
samples. The sample holder may be disassembled such that only
the mounting plate remains if it is necessary to mount large samples.
Sample holders are available with Spectraflect (SF) or Infragold
(IG) coatings. The SH-100-0° SF, IG holds the samples flush to
the sphere wall at the port such that the radiation striking the
port at normal incidence also strikes the sample at normal incidence.
The minimum sample size must exceed 0.875 inch, the clear aperture
of the sample holder. The SH-100-8° SF, IG is a skewed design
that holds the sample flush to the sphere wall at an angle of
8° with respect to the beam entering the port at normal incidence.
The minimum sample size must exceed 0.687 inch. Sample holders
are designated by a four part order number. For example, SH-100-8°-SF
designates a sample holder which, when mounted onto a 1 inch diameter
port frame, holds a sample at an angle of 0° to the incident beam,
SF designates Spectraflect coating.

The
FH-050-050 filter holder mounts onto a 0.50 inch port frame (PF-050).
Any of the other accessories that mount onto a PF-050 may also
be mounted onto the filter holder. The filter holder accommodates
filters 0.50 inch in diameter and up to 0.375 inch thick.
The
FH-100-200 filter holder mounts onto a 1 inch port frame (PF-100).
Any of the other accessories that mount onto a PF-100 may also
be mounted onto the filter holder. The filter holder holds 2 inch
square filters up to 0.375 inch thick.
A
detector holder mounts onto a 0.50 inch port frame (PF-050).
It is fitted with a Delrin insert that accommodates a
detector case. The DH-050-T05 detector holder accommodates
a T05 case and a DH-050-T08 accommodates a T08 case.
