The USS-400-HI High Intensity Uniform Source System features a 4 inch diameter Spectralon integrating sphere which is designed to provide exceptionally intense uniform light over the full 1.25 inch diameter exit port. The system is equipped with an IHLS-100-125, 125 watt halogen light source that provides input to the sphere. A Halogen Lamp Power Supply provides DC regulated constant current control to the light source. Luminance output is greater than 125,000 foot-lamberts with a uniformity, over the exit port area of greater than 98%.

Spectralon Integrating Sphere

The interior of the integrating sphere provided with the USS-400-HI is machined of Spectralon, a highly lambertian, thermally stable reflectance material which is characterized by >95% reflectance from 250 to 2500 nm and >99% reflectance from 400 to 1500 nm. Spectralon integrating spheres provide the thermal stability necessary to withstand very intense illumination.
