FEATURES

  • Luminance Uniformity >98%
  • Calibration Traceable to NIST
  • 40 inch Diameter Spectraflect Integrating Sphere
  • 14 inch Diameter Emitting Area

The USS-4000 Uniform Calibration Source features a 40 inch diameter Spectraflect integrating sphere designed to provide exceptionally uniform illuminance over a full 14 inch diameter sphere exit port. Luminance output is variable from 1000 to 10,000 foot-lamberts. Uniformity is greater than 98%.

The USS-4000 includes ten IHLS-DM-150, 150 watt halogen light sources which can be selectively activated to achieve ten distinct output levels. Ten LPS-200-H Power Supplies provide regulated DC constant current to operate the light sources. An SDA-050-P Silicon Detector Assembly monitors the luminance at the sphere exit port aperture. The system is operated through the SC-5500 Integrating Sphere System Control, a sophisticated radiometer that offers both an IEEE-488 bus and an RS-232C serial port for optional computerization of the system.

System Calibration

System calibrations are performed in the Labsphere Optical Calibration Laboratory with standards traceable to national laboratories. The system is calibrated to read luminance in foot-lamberts. Customers may specify optional calibrations to accommodate specific needs. Available calibrations include luminance, radiance, actual uniformity and spectral energy distribution.

System Software

The basic software provided with Labsphere uniform calibration source systems consists of a single screen which allows the user to control on/off operation of light sources to achieve desired output levels at the sphere exit port. Custom software packages can be developed to allow the user to program special characteristics. Please discuss your specific software requirements with a member of our Technical Sales Department.

OPTIONAL CALIBRATIONS

USC-PM

The USC-PM is a point-by-point luminance measurement of the exit port plane to determine actual uniformity.

USC-SR

The USC-SR is a spectral radiance measurement from 300 to 2400 nm to determine the actual spectral radiance output in mW/cm(2)/sr/um.
