The FIMS-400P
Fiberoptic Illuminator Photometer is an easy-to-use, precision
light-measuring instrument designed for use in the field, laboratory
or production floor. The instrument measures luminous flux from
sources such as fiber illuminators, borescopes, endoscopes, and
miniature lamps.
The FIMS-400P
consists of a compact, lightweight pistol grip handle with a built-in
microprocessor that performs several functions at the touch of
a button. The instrument features a photopically filtered silicon
detector to provide maximum sensitivity at low light levels. A
4 inch diameter integrating sphere collects the total light power
which enters through the measurement port. The sphere is coated
with Labsphere's highly Lambertian, diffuse white reflectance
coating, Duraflect. Duraflect is the ideal coating for spheres
that are exposed to harsh environments as it is waterproof and
extremely durable.
The FIMS-400P
is powered by two 9V batteries and is calibrated to read in lumens.
Simple push button controls are easily accessible and clearly
labeled on the front panel. Sensitivity over four full decades
provides the capability of measuring from 0.1 to 9,999 lumens.
Data is instantly displayed on an easy-to-read 4.5 digit front
panel display.
A calibration
certificate with calibration traceable to NIST is provided with
each instrument. Yearly calibration is recommended to ensure accurate
performance.
