DAS Diode Array Spectrometers are multi-channel analyzers designed
for real-time spectral analysis. Spectral analysis provides useful
information on the color characteristics of numerous materials
and light sources. Spectral analysis techniques that use diode
array technology are widely used in analyzing lamps and LEDs and
in quantifying the reflectance, transmittance, color and haze
of many materials. The DAS Diode Array Spectrometers are available
in two models to accommodate specific application needs. The instruments
offer high sensitivity, low noise and broad spectral response.
An integral fiber optic cable connects the spectrometers to the
light source being measured. The cable offers added flexibility
for remote positioning of the spectrometer. The spectrometers
are packaged in self-contained compact enclosures that are easily
connected to a PC via a serial port.
The
DAS-1100 Diode Array Spectrometer features a single concave
holographic grating and a 1024 element array. The spectrometer
covers the spectral range from 390 to 760 nm. The DAS-1100 spectrometer
features a thermoelectrically cooled photodiode detector to
provide signal stability and reduce the detector dark current
for longer integration time in low signal level measurements.
The
DAS-2100 Diode Array Spectrometer offers an extraordinary combination
of spectral range, spectral resolution and order sorting. A
novel design approach provides both wide spectral coverage and
narrow spectral resolution. The spectrometer uses two diffraction
gratings and two 1024 element arrays to cover a wide spectral
range extending from 350 nm to 1050 nm. This design avoids the
overlapping of spectral orders. Special data acquisition software
combines the array signals into a single spectrum. The DAS-2100
spectrometer features a thermoelectrically cooled photodiode
detector to provide signal stability and reduce the detector
dark current for longer integration time in low signal level
measurements.
