FEATURES Provides Diffuse, Uniform Radiance Input Light from Satellite Sphere Can Be Easily Varied

The SSI Series Satellite Sphere Illuminators are integrating spheres designed to provide a diffuse input to larger integrating spheres. These light sources are ideal for applications which require a low level, variable, uniform luminance output from large integrating spheres. The satellite spheres are coated with Spectraflect, a high reflectance, diffuse white coating. Each sphere consists of a 1 inch diameter input light port and an attachment port located 90° apart. The light port will accept the IHLS-100 Series Halogen Lamps. The attachment port is either 1, 2, or 4 inches for the 3, 6 and 12 inch diameter spheres, respectively, and consists of a diffuser plate, a manual variable attenuator and a port frame adapter for mounting the satellite onto a larger integrating sphere. The diffuser plate guarantees a diffuse radiance from the satellite sphere and the iris diaphragm allows the user to vary the amount of light from the satellite sphere.
